The members of the Rice University Sports Information staff is ready to assist members of the news media in their coverage of the Owls. Please feel free to contact any member of our department regarding their assigned sports, either for specific information of for suggestions for coverage. General information:

Media Information/Fact Books:
Rice produces limited quantities of Media Fact Books for football, men's and women's basketball and baseball, while information for each of Rice's teams is available in PDF files on line.

Weekly Updates Releases:
Weekly updates with detailed information on our teams will be produced during the season. All updates are availble in PDF form (see below) as well as at the sport venues on days of competition. They also may emailed to media members upon request. To be added to a media email list, please contact the media relations contact for each sport.

Archived Materials:
Links to statistics, media guides and other materials from past seasons are availble on each sport's home page under the "Archives" link.

Interviews:
All coach and student-athlete interviews should be directed through the media relations contact for each sport. Coaches and players are normally available for post-game interviews at a location arranged by the media relations contact approximately 10 minutes after each contest. Media members should inform the media relations contact which players are requested for post-game interviews. For post-game interviews with opponents, please contact the media relations contact representing the visiting team. For all other non-gameday interviews, please contact the media relations sports contact to arrange a convenient time for all parties.

Media Credentials:
Requests for all media credentials should be addressed to the media relations contact for each sport via email, fax, or phone. Single sport season credentials will be issued at the discretion of the media relations contact. Credentials are normally picked up at the designated Will Call location at our various venues, unless otherwise specified.

Practices:
Please contact the media relations contact for each sport to find out policies for media attending practices for each specific team.

Press Areas:
Press areas vary by facility. Please contact the media relations contact for each sport to obtain information regarding the press area for each facility.

Internet Access:
The press areas at Reckling Park (baseball) and Rice Stadium (football) as well as press row at Tudor Fieldhouse (men's and women's basketball, volleyball) have reliable functioning wireless internet access.
