Rice Athletics launches a new all-sport "Together" campaign aimed to rally alumni, donors, ticket holders, sponsors, fans, faculty, staff and students to support the more than 350 Rice scholar-athletes in their pursuit of excellence.
"This is much more than a simple tagline. This is a true representation of Rice, and what we can accomplish as a team and a community," Rice Director of Athletics Rick Greenspan said. "We are calling on Owls everywhere to join together and support the amazing men and women who proudly represent this school in competition."
The new branding campaign will become an integral part of the athletic department's marketing, promotions and communications initiatives in the 2012-13 academic calendar, enlisting the entire spectrum of those affiliated with Rice to join in a celebration of the Owls.
The launch of the campaign is highlighted by the debut of a promotional video, a special web page and specific graphic representations that will be featured throughout the year.
Fans can do their part in supporting the "Together" campaign throughout the year in many different ways:
New students and fans are invited come out to Rice Athletics events and Experience It Together.
Donors and supporters are asked to help Rice Athletics in Building Together as they develop and construct a new football stadium and tennis complex.
Rice faculty and staff can be part of a scholar-athletes success in the classroom by Achieving Together.
Alumni and fans can Celebrate Together past Rice success and be a part of future ones as well at each athletic event throughout the year.
Families and neighbors are invited out to a Rice Football, basketball or baseball game and enjoy Making Memories Together.
Rice University and the surrounding Houston community can develop strong relationships through Working Together.
By supporting in a variety of ways, students, fans, donors, faculty, alumni, families and the community are helping Rice scholar-athletes in Winning Together.
As a kick-off to the campaign, fans will have a chance to build some of the video board content for the season opener vs. UCLA. Fans are asked to send photos by Aug. 24 of making memories together at Rice Athletics events to email@example.com
