RiceOwls.com Unveils New Design

July 16, 2015 RiceOwls.com, the official website of Rice Athletics, unveiled a new design on Thursday, one that embraced some of the latest innovations in web design and functionality while also incorporating the input of a wide spectrum of stakeholders in the program.

The updated RiceOwls.com features a responsive design, which ensures an optimized and consistent presentation for the user no matter if they are accessing the site from their desktop, laptop, tablet or through a smartphone.

“The launch of our new design is a culmination of many months of great work, led by our Director of Branding Katie Schmidt,” said Tanner Gardner, Senior Associate AD / Chief Revenue Officer. “Throughout the process, we spent time collecting feedback from a number of constituents as well as analyzing current usage patterns to ensure we delivered a site that increasingly meets the needs of our supporters. We believe the refreshed RiceOwls.com provides an upgraded, first-class user experience.”

“It’s exciting for this months-long process to come to fruition,” Schmidt said. “Our goal has always been to design a cleaner, more intuitive site that will allow our content—the story of our outstanding student-athletes—to better shine.
