In conjunction with the Methodist Hospital Blood Center, Rice University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will play host to a blood drive Wednesday, March 23rd. Pitches for Pints will be held in the hours leading up to the Owls' baseball game against cross-town rival Houston.

The blood drive will be held in Fox Gymnasium, located adjacent to Tudor Fieldhouse and near the entrance to Reckling Park from 1 to 5 p.m.

For those who can not donate, the Methodist Marrow Registry will also be available for bone marrow donor registration.

Participants attending the event will receive a commemorative t-shirt for making a donation.

While walk-ins are welcome, those interested in selecting a donation time, or to receive more information, contact SAAC representative Alexandra Ernst at ace3@rice.edu.

First pitch for the season's first game of the Silver Glove Series between Houston and Rice is set for 6:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast regionally by CSS.
