I knew we were going to miss Chase, but I didn't
realize how rare the strength of his throwing
arm is. Neither Sheppard or Fanuzzi showed
they have a Div. 1A collegiate throwing arm.
The whole team was very well prepared (congrats,
Coach) and that allowed receivers to get wide open
and passes completed, but if either Owl quarterback could have put some zip on the ball
this would have been a toally different ballgame.
We couldn't stop Webb, but we damn sure would have
scored 40-50 points offensively. I haven't seen
so many "lame duck" passes since middle school.
It's a wonder the receivers didn't get killed.
Maybe Lewis has a collegiate arm, I don't know.
UAB only stopped the run when they stated playing
tight on the receivers (short passes) and shut
down the passing game.
Could be a long season.

DA67: Fanuzzi has a much stronger arm than Clement. Perhaps the day will soon come when the staff allows him to throw the ball down the field. - MK
